The Mahou Kaiju Series (魔法怪獣シリーズ Mahō Kaijū Shirīzu , Magical Monster Series) is the name given to a Japanese anime franchise in the kaiju genre that is composed of various movies and related media that were released in the span of ten years from 2019 to 2029.
Taking place in a shared universe with Gamera, Daimajin and several old anime shows given a revival treatment, such as Trider G7, Daitarn 3 and Zambot 3.
Development
Two weeks after Shin Gamera was released, Sam Imbecile spoke up at an interview that he envisions an expanded anime universe that is the "ultimate fantasy of anime watchers and fans" and a series of action and entertainment with some form of social commentary.
