The Great Ancient War (大古戦,Daikosen?), also known as the Great War, was a near-cataclysmic conflict which spread from all of Earth to the outskirts of Heaven and the Underworld 6,000 years prior to the events of the Mahou Kaiju Series. One of the largest and most devastating wars in Earth's history, the Great War influenced the fate of all life on the planet for millennia to come. The conflict ultimately led to the Great Cataclysm, an apocalyptic event which nearly destroyed all life in the world, thus altering its history forever.
