Lux and her fellow demons plan to one day gather up enough Mazaki to resurrect their fallen king.

Lux is a demon who looks human in appearance. She is an attractive woman with a slender body, blonde hair, green eyes, and dark skin. Lux's outfit consist of a pink jacket, a white t-shirt, a black mini skirt and white stockings.

Lux is a lustful, sadist, and cruel bully who take pleasure in tormenting both witches and humans. She often act like a delinquent around people. As a hobby, Lux would explore the local back alleys to find homeless men to seduce. She would lure them away with the promise of sex, when in actuality she wants to turn them into demonic "puppets" to serve as her minions.

It's implied that Lux's bullying nature seems to comes from a sense of inadequacy and insecurity. Lux hates being seen as weak, and shows annoyance when Genji referred to her as the "groupie" of their team. It is made apparent that Lux want to be seen as an equal to her cohorts as she wants to prove that she is a capable witch hunter. However, she can very disrespectful to her allies. Background[]

Nagai: Signs of Pain, Rage and Sorrow[]

Witch Hunt for Isuka[]

Lux make her first appearance seducing a homeless man so that she turn him into her next puppet. At some point, Lux discovered Isuka's whereabouts and decides to target her for next witch hunt. Lux later relay her finding to Genji, another Mazoku, who displays his disinterest to the information given. Annoyed at Genji's response, Lux goes off to capture Isuka on her own.

The next day, Lux has her puppets chase Isuka all over town. During the pursuit, Isuka bumps into Tsumiki Kashiwagi. Tsumiki chases after Isuka, wanting to return a hair clip that Isuka drop during their last encounter. The puppets were eventually able to corner Isuka in a back alley. Realizing that she would need to fight her way out, Isuka transforms and attacks the puppets. Tsumiki arrives at the scene to see the magical girl battling the mutants. While left stunned at the sight before her, Lux sneaks up on the shocked Tsumiki and take her hostage. This ends up distracting Isuka long enough for her to be restrained by tentacles spawned from Lux's puppets. Lux then proceed torment the two girls with her puppets.

Lux's defeat

Lux just before she is about to be hit by Isuka's Overdrive - Tempest Gale.

While restrained by the tentacles, Isuka drops a Masaki, that previously belonged to her sister, Tia. The Masaki began to emit a magical energy that destroy Lux's puppets and knocks down Lux herself, freeing Isuka and Tsumiki. To both Lux's and Isuka's surprise, the magical stone then merges with Tsumiki. Shocked to see a Masaki merge with a normal human, Lux tries to grab Tsumiki, only to be tackled by Isuka. Taking advantage of Lux's momentary confusion, Isuka attack Lux with Overdrive - Tempest Gale defeating the demon girl. Isuka collapses afterward and is taken by Tsumiki to the safety of her home.

Some times afterwards, Genji arrive at the sight of the battle and mockingly ask if Lux was alright. Lux emerges for the debris, revealing that she survived and only received minor injuries from the attack. Genji taunts Lux for her failure. Lux retorts that Isuka possess a power that is unnatural for a witch. Genji respond by saying that Lux failed because she was weak and decides that he will be the one to continue the witch hunt, leaving an upset Lux alone in the alley.

Genji's "Rebirth"[]

Lux trapped in Genji's webbing

Lux being restrained by Genji's spider threads.

Lux reappears after Genji's failed attempt to capture Isuka. Genji was blown out of a school building by Isuka's Overdrive - Saturme Magnesia attack. Fatally injuried, Genji is left staggering and cursing Isuka. After collapsing, Genji began to hear giggling and looks up to see Lux sitting on a window seal. Lux starts mocking Genji for his failure, not unlike what he had done to her. Lux jumps down from the window and reveals to Genji "that person" (Tia) will make up for his loss and take over the witch hunt. The demon girl tells the dying Genji that he can "go back to bed and snooze" as he is too weak to continue on. However, Lux's mocking is suddenly interrupted when Genji wraps his spider web around Lux's throat. Genji proceed to use his webbing to restrain Lux's arms and legs. The Mazoku resolves to get his revenge on Isuka and reveals that he plans to steal Lux's magic to restore himself, before changing into his true demonic spider form. Lux can only beg Genji to stop as he implants a seed into her womb and transfer his consciences into her body.

Now possessing Lux's body, Genji has Lux transfer her magic to meld the seed as she demands that he get out of her body to no avail. Genji only taunts Lux about her predicament. To Lux's horror, her stomach begins to rapidly swell up. Realizing what is about to happen Lux become hysterical, crying out that she doesn't want to give birth. Despite her protest, Lux ends up scream in pain and pleasure as she is force to delivery several dozen demon spiders that will make up Genji's new body. Following Genji's rebirth, Lux is left lying on the school grounds twitching and catatonic.

Aftermath[]

Lux Catatonic

Lux left powerless and catatonic after being a host for Genji's rebirth.

Some time after Tia, Genji, and Dershiva's defeat, Lux was recovered from the school grounds and was taken into custody by the Justice Alliance. It is revealed that she is alive but still in a catatonic state after being forced to be the "mother" for Genji's rebirth. Although Lux is receiving psychiatric care, it has yet to be determined if she would ever recover. Since all of her magic was used to create Genji's new body, Lux lost most, if not all, of her supernatural powers. The Justice Alliance determined that even if Lux were able to recuperate from her broken mental state, she would likely no longer be a threat with her magic gone.

Relationships[]

Genji Hyoudou[]

Despite being allies, Lux and Genji have a very antagonistic relationship. Lux wants Genji to respect her as a fellow witch hunter and even wanted to help on his next hunt. Genji, on the other hand, sees Lux as a weakling and insults her every chance he can get, referring to her as the "vagrant groupie" of their team. Of course when Genji failed to capture Isuka, Lux jumped at the chance to mock the defeated spider demon. Although in doing so, Lux unknowingly provided herself as host that Genji can use to create a new body by stealing her magic. Genji showed that he never cared about Lux, as he leaves his new "mother" lying on the ground after his rebirth left her in a catatonic state.

Tia[]

"Tia" is a Mazoku women that possessed the body of Isuka's sister, the true Tia, and assumed her identity. Tia is the de-facto leader of the witch hunters. Lux seem to respect her abilities and was confident that Tia would be able to complete the witch hunt for Isuka. However, Tia shows little concern for Lux. This is made apparent when Tia showed no reaction when a resurrected Genji told her that he used manipulative magic on Lux to revive himself.

Isuka[]

Isuka was Lux's target for a witch hunt, so naturally they have a hostile relationship with each other. Lux only sees Isuka as a means to prove herself to the other Mazoku by capturing the witch, and as a plaything for her own sadistic amusement.

Tsumiki Kashiwagi[]

Lux saw Tsumiki as just another human that she can torment, especially when Lux makes the assumption that she is friends with Isuka during their first meeting.

Dershiva[]

Dershiva is the fallen king of all Mazoku and the Dragemon, and one of the few beings that Lux actually respects. Lux, like all Mazoku, ultimately wants to revive him by extracting enough Mazaki from the witches to bring him back to life. What Lux wants more than anything is to be praised by her king and be given the recognition that she craves. Ironically, due to her impaired state after Genji's rebirth, Lux was unable to witness her master's revival nor his defeat that follows shortly after.

Abilities[]

As a Mazoku, Lux had several magical abilities at her disposal. Although between herself, Genji, and "Tia", Lux was considered the weakest of the trio. Ultimately, Lux ends up losing all of her supernatural abilities after Genji stole her magic for his "rebirth".

Formerly[]

  • Supernatural agility– Lux had displayed some great jumping abilities. She is able to leap and descend several stories off the ground with without causing injuries to herself.
  • Limited invulnerability – She was shown to be less vulnerable than humans or other demons. Lux was able survive one of Isuka's strongest attack, the Overdrive - Tempest Gale, and only received minor injuries. In comparison, when Isuka later performs a similar attack on Genji, it left him fatally injured.
  • Puppets– Like other witch hunter-class demons, Lux had the ability to turn people into her familiars referred to as "puppets". Due to her relatively weak magic, Lux's puppets seemly can only turn into feral, zombie-like mutants that protrude tentacles out of their bodies. By comparison, Genji and "Tia" can turn people into puppets that retain their human appearance and consciousness. Although Lux's puppets do show greater regenerative abilities, as they can grow into a large mesh of tentacles after a suitable amount of damage is done to them.
